How can I arrange an NDIS trial in Australia?

We are an online business. However, we work closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists and carers Australia-wide to arrange trials without obligation.

Organising the trial

It is necessary to have an initial phone call with you to be sure we are shipping the ‘best fit’ model in terms of:

  • Your client’s objectives, ability, height, build and special needs;
  • Trionic model choice, product size, colour, functionality and accessories.

Sometimes your client may have already discussed the best fit model with us and even decided on their preferred model. However, it is always necessary to confirm the trial and product selection with their physiotherapist, occupational therapist, care coordinator or other support professional.

Trial agreement

The Trionic equipment is shipped for trial with the following agreement:

  • There is no obligation on the part of you or your client to purchase. All shipping costs will be met by Trionic Australia unless otherwise agreed.
  • The equipment is shipped directly to you as NDIS and some other funding bodies do not permit delivery of assistive technology to your client before funding approval. We therefore will request your ship-to address, phone number and email address information to go on the shipping label.
  • You conduct the trial and then keep the equipment until NDIS or another funding body approval is received. The equipment must not be left with the client before funding approval and agreement to purchase.
  • We request that you keep the box and store the Trionic equipment for later delivery to the client or return it to Trionic. If the trial is successful, please keep the equipment in new condition for sale and delivery to your client.
  • If approval takes a long time, we may agree on returning the equipment, especially as you may have limited storage space.
  • The equipment can be trialled outside in the environment that your client needs to use it. Dirty tyres can always be cleaned or replaced. However, we request you to be very careful not to scratch or damage the frame and other parts. Protection is easy if you transport the equipment in its box or, if your vehicle is too small, you use soft padding like a blanket to protect it.
  • The equipment can be trialled with multiple clients.

Quotations and invoices

We can send a quotation or a tax invoice to submit to NDIS or any other funding body. Quotations and invoices require your client’s name, address and reference, such as the NDIS participant number. Payment can be made via bank transfer or the NDIS portal.

Delivery & returns

Delivery usually takes 5 days from order confirmation.

All models are delivered fully assembled and ready to go. Our international carrier UPS sends email notifications every time the box is scanned in transit. In Australia, UPS delivers locally themselves or hands the box over to Startrack to deliver.

Returns are booked by Trionic Australia.
