How to adjust the Trionic Walker Syncro Steering?

Does it appear that there is a misalignment of the front wheels? It might have happened after the walker was folded for transportation and stored in the boot of the car. Even if you regularly transport the walker this way but have never had this trouble before, it might happen due to the unfolding procedure.

Though the inner tolerance of the front frame tube prevents the timing belt from changing its position, it looks like the timing belt has slipped over a couple of teeth and the front wheels are no longer parallel.

The headsets (bearings) of the front wheel forks work exactly like a modern Aheadset on a bicycle. If you are hesitant, please turn to a bicycle shop or someone familiar with modern bicycles, and they can explain how the Aheadset works.

By using a 5 mm Allen key as the only required tool, you can get the timing belt centred again as shown in the following video:

It is vital that the big centre pulley is centred both sideways and lengthwise.

To prevent this from happening again, please keep in mind that when the Walker is folded, the syncro belt is slackened, and the front wheels can turn into different positions not being parallel.

When unfolding the Walker, please always do as follows:

1. Grab the handles and unfold the frame as far as possible.

2. Grab the right handle and lift the right front and rear wheels off the ground a little.

3. While holding them lifted, press down on the left rear corner of the seat to lock the Walker in walking mode (with your left hand).

If done as of above, the unfolding is easier as the right wheels do not slide along the ground (increased friction), and the right front wheel is free to turn into its aligned position. This makes it easier for the latch to engage/lock.

Perfect, because you can walk upright and avoid walking with a bent back. The back improves the more you walk.

I'm glad I discovered the Veloped Sport. I knew I was going to love it the first 6 meters I tried it. We have a front drive of gravel. My older traditional rollator just could not be used in the loose gravel, the Veloped was no problem.
