Perfect aid for rehab

What was your concern with this review?

First impression: very sturdy private jet construction handsomely finished. Frame does not wiggle and feels very rigid. My only questionmark is that the wheels are not made of metal but kinda plastic. The hub caps loosen easily, need some superglue. I know that most shopping trolleys have plastic wheels instead of metal wheels, but I am not totally convinced about the durability of a rollator of this kind. Well, time will tell.

The problem with the frontwheels section adjuster is that it tended to slide either in the upper or lower position, as the pull-out lock did not stay put well. As I mainly use the Veloped in neutral position, I drilled a hole in the sliding adjuster to secure it with a bolt, which works perfectly. I would suggest Trionix design/engineering simply remove the terrain slider from the manufacturing at all, or simplify the adjuster not using a slider but a simple handle. Less is more.

As for the overall experience, the outward camber of the rearwheels making the overall balance more stable. Good for rally, or just for crosswind landing after a turbulent flight :-)

I removed the sliding seat in order to make room for a removable shopping-basket or photocamera backback. The walking-stick holder is very handy for transporting a camera tripod.

I have learned that making turns by using the arms like on a steeringwheel is not as easy as simply turning the body between the rearwheels. I keep the frontwheels in the middle neutral position between offroad and city, for a relaxed steering experience both in the shopping mall, on the sidewalk, and in the forest.

This Veloped is for me the perfect rehab aid to improve walking again.

The Veloped does attract headturns from curious insta people. I no longer limp with a stick, and so I started walking from day-1 with this machine. It is fun, looks cool, no longer disturbed by my disability, doesn't look like a budget walker, rather a super modern extension that leaves all rollators far back in the future.
