Product Review

I am very pleased with it.

Rating:

I recently bought a Walker 12er, and after using it for several weeks I can tell you that I am very pleased with it. The walker feels so much more stable than my previous one and is certainly more comfortable to use due to the large wheels with the inflatable tyres and the well-designed handgrips. The brakes are infinitely better than anything I have tried before: I travel often on buses and have always had to hold my previous walkers to prevent them from moving when the bus cornered or braked, the brakes of the walker being insufficient to hold it in place. I can now travel knowing that my Trionic Walker brakes and tyres mean that the walker doesn’t move at all. The brakes took a few tries before I felt comfortable with the lock and release mechanism, but once I got the hang of it, the brakes work perfectly and instantly each time, whether applying or releasing them.

The only thing I would like to have been different: I would like a bigger capacity basket, and for the basket not to have the mesh front which means anything in the basket can be seen. As I often carry my camera and/or iPad with me when out, I would rather these things be unseen, without having to place them in a bag to hide them from view.

That said, I am very, very pleased with my purchase and consider the extra cost to have been well worthwhile. The quality of the build and the excellent design of the whole unit, especially the unique steering mechanism, is superb, and I am sure this Walker 2er will be the last collator I will ever need.

Thank you, Stefan, Johan, and everybody who has a part in making these wonderful machines.

    Good morning,

After our 86-year-old mother's walking radius decreased due to unsteady gait, and she could only move around outside the home with an escort, she considered – albeit very ambivalently – a mobility aid. A "regular" walker was out of the question for h…
